Welcome to My Red Deer Photos. Most images were taken with a digital camera by [email protected]. These images are copyright but can be used for personal and commercial use but not sold or included in any image package for sale. Few of the other photos were found on the internet and discretion is advised on their usage. As they are all of different sizes and proportions they have, on this page, been squeezed in to uniform size thumbnails for aesthetic reasons. Thus, if some thumbnails look out of whack or degraded it is because of being squished.

To view information about the individual pictures move your cursor over the thumbnail. Right click and choose "save as" to save the visible file to your hard disk. If your cursor changes it means there is a larger picture available and you can left click to view or save it. Enjoy.

My Red Deer's photo collection is growing fast. The next upgrade of this page will include more historic sites and a more personal look at life (and wildlife) within the city. As in many cities, the Red Deer Public Library was not always a library. In 1910 following a significant fire the city built Fire Hall No.1, which is now the library. They also established a volunteer fire brigade. Outside the library today is a life size statue entitled "Ghosts" which honors these courageous people. (See the fourth picture above entitled statue1) This composite is based on this statue and story and can be used as a wallpaper for your monitor.
